urge to post.

The chickens have slowed down enough in number, that I actually have the attention span to sit here and post something. I think the blog itself is a chicken driven chariot to the land of lost time, but oh well. It keeps me distracted from whatever I don't wish to be otherwise doing and that works for me. For instance: I need to switch the laundry, I have to finish counting the stitches I just casted on for a blanket I'm knitting, I need to take a shower, and I probably should be scrubbing something around this house. Instead, I'm sitting here killing this blog chicken.

My kids just finished their school work for the day, and I can't seem to find the starting gate to get my work done. Why is that starting gate so damn hard to find?? Someone please tell me?! I'm hoping that if I sit here typing long enough, the gate will come into view. Not likely, I know... but ah well, a girl can hope eh?

My oldest child is growing up too fast. She got her first visit from Aunt Flow. Before the first visit, she was waiting in excited anticipation. Now that Aunt Flow is finally here, she can't wait to see her go. I can SO empathize with my child. That was a cold hard realization for me too. When she first came to see me, I demanded to know why my parents didn't make me a boy. heh. Yes, I know... logic and rationality don't necessarily apply at that age. I was just so angry at the world for the unfairness of it all, and I felt I was truly owed an explanation. I never got one though.

It sucks to have Aunt Flow crash your party. While my kid would like the rewind button, I'd just settle for a pause. Sigh. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find that damn pause button. Maybe it's hiding behind the elusive "Get yer shit done" Starting Gate? I'll just take my own pause, while I sit here and knit, and knit, and knit a bit more. Then, I'm off to conquer the laundry chickens. I shall drown them with Liquid Gain, and smother them with Bounce sheets! To arms! OFFFFFFFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!! muwahahaha
later tater.
